Homemade Coffee Creamer

A deliciously creamy and perfectly sweetened coffee creamer, made simply with basic ingredients at home. While this recipe does take 15-20 minutes cooking on the stove, it should not be stirred making it a very easy to set and forget.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups half-and-half

Optional ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract for a vanilla coffee creamer
  • 2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup for a chocolate coffee creamer

Instructions

  • Combine milk and brown sugar in a saucepan
  • Heat on the lowest setting, stirring only brown sugar is dissolved.
  • After sugar is dissolved, leave milk and sugar on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Do not stir.
  • Remove milk from heat, and skim off any milk foam or "skin" on top
  • Allow to cool, and combine with half-and-half
  • Add optional ingredients if desired for flavored coffee creamer
